Sun City will soon see about 146 new residences and a new long-term-care center (assisted living) when Royal Oaks, the only Lifeplan (CCRC) community in that area, builds a new neighborhood on land adjacent to the existing campus.
In mid-January, CEO Kendra Eberhart announced the start of the first seven years of a 20-year master plan that begins with the addition of 16 villa homes averaging 1644 sq. ft. and 130 apartments ranging from 850 sq ft. to 1650 sq. ft. Pre-sales for the new residences will begin in the summer of 2018.
Underground parking, new dining and social venues, warehouse space, and a 60-suite care center for Complete Supportive Living are also part of the short-term plan.
“To keep up with the demand for upscale senior housing, we know we must add to the campus and continually update our existing buildings and neighborhoods to appeal to the people who will be searching for a resort-style senior living campus,” said Eberhart. “We and our Board of Trustees are eager to showcase our plans to the public.”
